Orange, yellow and red leaves draw thousands to Western, NY in the fall season from late September through November. Local pumpkin, maple sugar and apple farms welcome visitors to try local fare and enjoy the crisp fall season.

Sitting on the porch of the Blue Oar and looking over the lake at the changing leaf colors is a truly amazing experience.
December through March
This place beats to a different drum during the winter months of December through March. When most communities fall dormant, this place comes alive! Snowmobiling is by far the biggest sport in this area. This exciting culture takes over every small town in the area with fully maintained backwoods trails weaving throughout. Turn on the new electric fireplace and cozy up with a cup of hot cocoa.
If sking and boarding are more your style, Peek n’ Peak and Holiday Valley are both within an hours drive. Cockaigne Ski Resort is Re-Opening for the 2019/2020 ski season and is only a 20 minute drive from the Blue Oar!
